A-SAFE marks 40 years with Red Dot Award win

Halifax, West Yorkshire, United Kingdom: A-SAFE, the global leader in advanced polymer safety guardrails, barriers, and bollards, has been recognized with an esteemed Red Dot Award for Product Design 2024 for its Industry 4.0-ready, active racking management product RackEye, powered by its IoT safety and efficiency platform, Conek.

This recognition celebrates A-SAFE’s remarkable journey of innovation, quality, and industry leadership as the Elland-based company celebrates 40 years in business.

The Red Dot Award, established in 1955, is recognized as one of the most prestigious design competitions globally. A-SAFE’s accolade in the ‘Industrial and Manufacturing Equipment’ category underscores the company’s excellence in safety technology. The winning products Conek and RackEye, help manage warehouse safety by detecting impacts to racking and barrier systems. It provides real-time alerts and powerful insights enabling preventative action. Conek will be showcased alongside other winning products at the Red Dot Museum, in Essen, Germany, for the next year.

Founded in 1984 by the Smith family, A-SAFE has transformed from a small family business into a global powerhouse in industrial safety solutions. Over the past 40 years, A-SAFE has pioneered high-performance polymer barriers, revolutionising safety standards and mitigating downtime for blue-chip companies and Fortune 500 industry giants.
