Kuebix Free Shipper Celebrates its One-Year Anniversary
One-year highlights include: • Over 15,000 companies have signed up for Kuebix TMS and joined the shipping community • Kuebix Community Load Match launched as a new community service to enable users to find and book much needed truckload capacity
October 23, 2018 (Maynard, MA) - Kuebix, creator of a transportation management system that delivers true freight intelligence, today celebrates the one-year anniversary of Kuebix Free Shipper, the industry's first free multimodal TMS that offers unlimited rating, booking and tracking of TL, LTL and parcel freight. At this one-year milestone, over 15,000 companies have signed up with Kuebix TMS (Free Shipper, Business Pro and Enterprise) and joined Kuebix's shipping community. The company has since launched Kuebix Community Load Match to empower members of its growing logistics community to find and book truckload rates.
"The goal of Kuebix Free Shipper is to provide all shippers the ability to rate, book and track their freight directly with their carriers," said Dan Clark, Founder and President of Kuebix. "By making basic transportation management free, Kuebix has been able to bring thousands of shippers together into one community, and the opportunities for collaboration within Kuebix's logistics community are endless!"
Since the unprecedented adoption of Kuebix Free Shipper and resulting expansion of the Global Logistics Community, Kuebix has launched its first service built exclusively for members. The service, called Kuebix Community Load Match, helps shippers find and book truckload rates on the spot market to help them overcome the capacity crunch.
"Constraints in the industry like the capacity crunch and driver shortage make getting product from point A to point B more difficult, not to mention more expensive," said Clark. "By bringing shippers, carriers and suppliers together through one TMS, we can discover new opportunities for efficiencies and savings. Our team has a number of programs that we will be announcing to Kuebix users in the near future that promise to be extremely beneficial to our growing logistics community."
Kuebix is set to announce new partnerships and programs, which will bring additional value to the Global Logistics Community in the months ahead.

ATLANTA– February 5, 2025 – Vanderlande, the global partner for future-proof warehouse solutions, today invited ProMat 2025 attendees to visit booth #S1503 to learn more about the fully integrated technologies, best-of-breed solutions and comprehensive services available to warehousing operations regardless of where they are in their automation journeys. Vanderlande experts will also present two interactive conference seminars that will draw on real-world examples and lessons learned to show attendees how they can successfully deploy automation for the faster and more efficient warehousing needed to stay competitive and thrive.
Known for providing leading global brands with the most advanced distribution centers (DCs), Vanderlande offers the fully-integrated and comprehensive suite of solutions dynamic retailers, including omnichannel brands and e-commerce companies in the general merchandise, apparel and food sectors, need to excel. The company’s automation technologies encompass the systems, software, robotics and services needed to optimize throughput, order accuracy and storage capacity in the most demanding fulfillment and store replenishment operations.
With a consultative approach, Vanderlande meets organizations where they are, whether they are moving to build the most advanced greenfield facility or embracing automation for the first time. The company also works closely with numerous suppliers to identify, vet and deliver the most effective and proven solutions in order to deliver the flexibility customers need to confidently address widely varying materials handling demands, budgets and timelines.
“Every customer is unique and requires a tailored solution for automating their journey,” said Greg Conner, president of warehouse solutions, North America at Vanderlande. “Our fully-integrated suite of technologies, our collaboration with best-of-breed suppliers like Hai Robotics and our close connection with our partners in the Toyota Automated Logistics family reflects our commitment to provide end-to-end solutions that meet our customers where they are. Our goal is to help them achieve success whether they are a large-scale facility or a smaller warehouse that needs to address labor shortfalls, be more competitive or decrease workplace injuries.”
Experts from Vanderlande will be on hand at booth #S1503 to answer any questions on warehouse automation strategies and to showcase available technologies, among them:
STOREPICK: Vanderlande’s modular, robotic, end-to-end case picking solution upends retail store replenishment. Utilizing the company’s ADAPTO shuttle-based Automated Storage & Retrieval System, depalletizing and palletizing robots and Pallet AV load carriers and Automated Mobile Robots, STOREPICK automates the most labor-intensive tasks in the retail supply chain.
Load Forming Logic (LFL): A component of STOREPICK, LFL uses advanced software to replicate the most efficient and effective case pickers while overcoming the challenges encountered in food and grocery stocking operations. Employees or robots can use LFL’s powerful algorithms to quickly create the ideal pallet or roll cage based on which aisle SKUs are located in, the ideal order in which they are unstacked and shelved and how they can be arranged to maximize pallet stability or other imperatives, such as pallet density when striving to lower transportation costs.
FASTPICK: Drawing on ADAPTO’s exceptional speed, sequencing capabilities, and flexibility to work with a variety of cartons, trays and totes, Vanderlande’s high-performance item picking solution enables omnichannel and e-commerce distribution centers to effectively handle peaks in demand like Black Friday, Cyber Monday and the constantly evolving holiday shopping season. Modular by design, STOREPICK also features Smart Item Robotics and enables employees to immediately excel in picking operations with the industry’s most advanced and intuitive Goods-to-Person workstation.
Hai Robotics’ Automated Case-Handling Mobile Robot (ACR): Offered in Vanderlande’s Tote AV tote-to-person picking and storage solution, Hai Robotics’ ACR is a highly effective alternative for materials handling operations that need to increase the effectiveness of their picking and storage operations, but do not have the resources or time to deploy Automated Storage & Retrieval System (AS/RS) like Vanderlande’s ADAPTO. Utilizing traditional racking, the ACR can be deployed and begin delivering a proven return in just a few weeks.
“When considering any investment in warehouse automation it is imperative to ask the right questions and to work with providers to develop a detailed business case that looks at how various approaches, including investments in greenfield or brownfield sites, impact short-term and long-term goals and costs,” adds Conner. “At ProMat, we’ll explore the many ways automation can help address constantly evolving needs.”
Interactive, Educational Sessions
Experts from Vanderlande will also present two interactive sessions at ProMat that reflect the company’s extensive track record of success delivering solutions that help customers optimize and future-proof their operations. Details include:

With a free signup, businesses gain access to over 1,000 vetted partners across 4,000+ locations, helping users to access container availability and pricing insights on 10,000+ routes at no cost.
This exposure helps businesses access real-time trusted information and insights to help make informed operating decisions and trusted container transactions, thereby gaining more control over the negotiation process.
Survey: Trust and transparency, cornerstones of resilience for container logistics
Container xChange conducted a survey in January 2025, with participation from 800 representatives of container trading businesses from around the globe. The results revealed that 78% of container trading companies are facing challenges in establishing trusted partnerships due to ongoing geopolitical and trade challenges.
“My first purchase of containers was a fraud, and I lost $11000 in one transaction when I started my journey in container trading. We believe that the biggest challenge in this industry is trust. xChange helps us establish trusted relationships without having the risk of fraud, that gives the buyer a real sense of security.” shared Denise chavez, Container Chiq, a shipping container supplier based in California, United States, in a fireside session conducted in December 2024 by Container xChange.
Additionally, 81% of respondents confirm that they are focusing on two key operational strategies this year: finding trustworthy partners to face these geopolitical uncertainties and enhancing transparencyin container pricing and availability data.
These strategies are crucial as businesses grapple with pressing challenges in 2025, including:
Tariff wars.: The implications of tariffs (and resulting counter tariffs) continue to create uncertainty in international trade.
Ongoing trade and military conflicts: These conflicts exacerbate the difficulties in forming reliable partnerships.
Chokepoints at critical locations: Issues at key transit points such as the Panama Canal and the Red Sea, often influenced by climate conditions and geopolitical tensions, further complicate logistics, thereby creating a need for diversions and alternate routes.
This survey presents the urgency for solutions that promote transparency and foster trust in the container trading market. Container xChange's initiative to launch a free One-Way leasing network directly addresses these challenges by providing businesses with access to a vast network of vetted partners and real-time data on container availability and pricing.
“We're on xChange daily. When we see better offers or new partners, we accept them immediately online instead of searching through random chat groups.” said Gulnur Maksutova from Railship Global (UK).
“The current global geopolitical landscape has introduced significant complexities for container trading and leasing businesses. In recent years, we have witnessed a surge in interest towards new sourcing locations and alternative trade routes, resulting in heightened activity on our platform. By offering free access to our platform, we’re addressing the industry’s biggest challenge—building trust and connecting with reliable partners. This initiative democratizes access to key tools and insights, empowering businesses to face uncertainties with transparency, efficiency, and confidence, a vital step in advancing our mission to simplify global trade logistics," shared Christian Roeloffs, co-founder and CEO of Container xChange.
This initiative aims to improve transparency and accessibility in the shipper-owned container (SOC) leasing market. SOC containers provide businesses with greater flexibility and control over their logistics, especially in a volatile market like now. “With our free access initiative, we’re enabling companies to adopt SOC leasing strategies with ease, backed by real-time data and a trusted partner network.” shared Roeloffs.
“With this effort, our objective is to create trust in a market that is inherently risky. ” added Roeloffs.
●Market Price Visibility: Access transparent price ranges for one-way leasing to make informed decisions.
●Global Partner Network: Connect with over 1,700 vetted suppliers across 2,500 locations based on routes and business needs.
"Whenever we explore a new route, xChange connects us with multiple suppliers instantly. It saves us days of effort," shared Teresa Tang from Dele International Logistics (China).
Container xChange is a leading neutral online marketplace for container trading, leasing, and management. Headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, xChange connects over 1,700 trusted partners across 2,500 locations worldwide, simplifying logistics for businesses in the shipping and container industry. With innovative tools that enhance transparency, efficiency, and trust, xChange empowers companies to optimize costs, reduce risks, and access real-time insights on container availability and pricing.
