The Side Step Pallet System was specifically designed for a global beverage manufacturer to provide a safe, stable shipping container for its high-end beverage dispensers. PACK Expo attendees who want to see the current version of the Side Step Pallet are invited to stop by PSI's booth LS-6804 in the Lower South Hall in the Containers & Materials Pavilion.
The Side Step Pallet System is designed as an easy-to-assemble, reusable storage and distribution system for shipping beverage dispensers from the factory to retail locations and then returning used dispensers to the factory for maintenance or disposal. Constructed from 100 percent recyclable plastic, the Side Step Pallet System fully encases the dispenser, providing a stable storage and shipping platform for the high center-of-gravity machines, which in turn protects the machines as well as the people who handle them.
The revolutionary design of the Side Step Pallet System allows for the entire machine to be lifted with a pallet jack; base rail components of the pallet to be removed without tools; and the machine to be set in place on its own legs without ever removing it from the pallet jack or center platform of the Side Step Pallet.
Jerry Koefelda, Vice President of Sales & Product Development at Polymer Solutions, said, "Safety was one of our primary objectives throughout the entire design process. The Side Step Pallet System with a beverage dispenser enclosed was tested to ensure compliance with the International Safety Transit Association's (ISTA) 3B protocol for Tip/Tip Over. The unique 3-piece pallet and its associated installation methodology, greatly increase the safety of the installer as well as the staff and patrons of the retail outlets."
