CartonCloud Builds Powerhouse Canadian Team To Turbocharge Expansion

Global logistics software provider CartonCloud is continuing its expansion into Canada with the recent appointment of an experienced local team to focus on the region’s rapidly growing small to medium logistics market.

CartonCloud Chief Operating Officer Shaun Hagen, who is leading the North American expansion from their Vancouver base, announced Mitch Whitnack and Robb Sollows have joined the company as implementation specialists.

"They are both experts in the Canadian warehouse and transport industries and their deep understanding of the pain points and existing technical options for North American businesses will help CartonCloud to become a powerhouse in the local logistics software space,” Mr Hagen said.

“Together they will play key roles in continuing to build our connection with customers and the industry, which is the heart of everything that we do.”

The pair are the first wave of new local hires in Canada and will use their industry expertise and local knowledge to onboard new businesses and help drive the expansion.

Ottawa’s Robb Sollows, an industry veteran of more than 40 years, said CartonCloud's laser-like focus on building software to simplify complex logistics is exactly what the Canadian market was crying out for.

“The capability of CartonCloud to automate processes far exceeds any other product I’ve seen in my 40 years in the industry.

“It's a very hands-on role, and I'll be drawing on my years of operational experience to truly assist logistics businesses across Canada to implement this technology and reach their full potential,” Mr Sollows said.

“There are many transport management systems on the market here, but nothing compares to CartonCloud, with such easy to use features, mobile app, and integration with warehouse management systems.

“This integration is a massive point of difference that puts CartonCloud in a league of its own in the 3PL market.

“For companies looking at crossdock capabilities and transport companies who want to provide warehousing, CartonCloud is a unique product that can help them establish those services.”

Vancouver-based Mr Whitnack has five years of experience in the logistics industry and has been responsible for major warehouse management software implementation projects across a number of B.C businesses.

Mr Whitnack said CartonCloud had significant potential to help Canadian warehouse businesses grow by supporting them to boost their operations with scalable workflows and optimization.

“Traditionally it’s been a challenge in Canada for businesses to fully adopt complicated software. CartonCloud makes the process easy,” Mr Whitnack said.

“It’s been built to be so simple to use that a manager can give an employee a phone with the CartonCloud app and they can start using the software on the spot. The technology enables businesses to scale up their warehouse operations while maintaining accuracy, efficiency and transparency

“The software increases capacity to take on more business, which opens up new revenue streams to achieve growth.

“CartonCloud has dominated the market in Australia and New Zealand based on its ease of use and the connections with customers and the industry. Those philosophies will resonate strongly here in the Canadian industry and unlock the potential of our local small and medium logistics businesses.”

Mr Hagen said the addition of Mitch and Robb to the CartonCloud team provided a huge edge to our understanding of the nuances of logistics operators in North America.

“Mitch is a well-known operator that knows warehouses inside out and we’re excited by the enthusiasm he will bring to this role,” Mr Hagen said.

“We take it as a big compliment to have Robb join us with his level of industry success and experience.

“Our software is for logistics people, by logistics people. This strong connection to the industry allows us to ensure our features are relevant, and that we continue to provide the best tools for our customers to simplify operations and grow their businesses - even in the ever-changing world of logistics.”

The rapidly-growing logistics management software company has over 380 customers across North America, Australia, and Asia, providing powerful and easy-to-use software to give small-medium businesses the tools they need to meet rising demand, shorter delivery expectations, and to manage the current workforce shortages.

About CartonCloud

CartonCloud’s intuitive and easy-to-use software was originally drafted from inside a 3PL warehouse as a much-needed solution to provide data automation, software integrations and cloud-based logistics management for the company. From there, the market's desire for a purpose-built logistics software solution created an opportunity to enhance the prototype and develop the powerful technology we have today. CartonCloud is now used by over 380 logistics companies worldwide, providing the features and tools needed to support business growth, profits, and efficiencies.

With CartonCloud’s industry-focused features, warehouse and transport businesses can streamline operations, automate a range of traditional processes using paper-based systems, and provide data for business intelligence and planning.
