CSCMP members raise $15,000 for logistics relief efforts in Ukraine

Run by the Ukraine Roundtable, relief fund supports the delivery of food and medical supplies to those affected by the war in Ukraine.

The CSCMP Talent Center Ukraine Logistics Operations Relief Fund—established in April 2022 by the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals and its local Ukraine Roundtable—has raised $15,000 to support logistics relief efforts in the war-torn country.

The money has been used to support the delivery of humanitarian and medical aid and is managed locally by the CSCMP Ukraine Roundtable leadership. The leadership partnered with logistics companies, organized supplies, and distributed aid to fellow Ukrainians.

The first $10,000 in donations were matched by CSCMP. Donations can still be made on the website for the Talent Center (recently renamed CSCMP’s Center for Advancement of Talent and Training).

Donations are used to purchase food, medical supplies, shoes, and building materials as well as transportation for those materials, according to Vira Dobachevska, president of the Ukraine Roundtable.

Dobachevska, who is also the CEO and founder of Kyiv Logistics School, expressed gratitude for the donations in a video message shown during the 2022 EDGE conference. “Each donation matters,” she said. “Thank you very much for standing with Ukraine.”
