Invent Analytics Founder Joins The Martalks Podcast to Share Insights on Inventory Optimization

PHILADELPHIA—Aug. 24, 2023—Invent Analytics, an award-winning global retail planning solutions provider, announces that founder and CEO, Gurhan Kok, has been featured on The Martalks Podcast. In the episode, titled, “Enhancing Inventory Optimization with Composable Analytics,” Gurhan and host Darrell Rosenstein explore the modern challenges of omni-channel retailing and how artificial intelligence (AI) is powering more profitable inventory decisions. The episode is now streaming on Spotify, Google, and Apple Podcasts.

In retail, inventory planning has always been a complex balancing act between keeping inventory levels high enough to meet demand, but low enough to minimize costs and waste. In the podcast, Gurhan shares how Invent Analytics’ inventory optimization solutions use advanced algorithms and AI to find the right balance, helping retailers maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.

“Inventory is the lifeblood of retail. Retailers must control inventory flow to make customers happy. At the same time, it must be done in the most cost-effective way. However, omni-channel has made predicting demand and satisfying customers more complicated than ever before. Traditional inventory management systems rely far too much on human input, and they cannot handle all the complexity,” said Gurhan. “With Invent Analytics, retailers do not have to rely on guesswork. Our solutions position the right inventory in the right place at the right time, across a retailer’s entire network of stores and distribution centers—which ultimately generates profit.”

During the interview, podcast listeners will learn:

• How inventory imbalances impact omni-channel retailers
• How AI-powered tools make profit-optimized inventory decisions
• How Invent Analytics has driven growth for clients including a large shoe retailer and Academy Sports + Outdoors
• How Invent Analytics’ solutions deliver speed to value for immediate improvements

Gurhan founded Invent Analytics in 2013 to build advanced AI-powered solutions for the retail industry. Prior to Invent Analytics, Gurhan was a tenured faculty member at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business for over a decade. He received his Ph.D. from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 2003. He is now also a professor at Koc University in Istanbul, Turkey.
